sample DVD wedding invitation script, includes welcome,
our story and the invitation
The following
script is for you to use in recording the wedding
invitation. It is in three parts, Welcome, Our Story
and the Invitation. It is best to memorize it before
you begin filming, or you can write it on cue cards
to be held just above the camera during recording.
Welcome
This should
be no more than 10-15 seconds long, just a quick
scene set (see
example):

Hi
this is (first name)
[Bride]
and (first
name)
[Together]
welcome
to our story.
[Bride or
Groom]
Come on
in (while waiving guests in)
Our Story
This will take
place after the photo montage and is more free
form, but be sure to choose a great story that
your guests can relate to and will be anxious
to hear. Some examples: how you met, the proposal,
your first encounter or maybe a particularly memorable
date, most any story will do, just be sure you
both have input.
The story should be 1-3 minutes long and should
include lots of smiling and even some light teasing
is good. This part should be fun, so ask a friend
or family member to record the story and pay particular
attention to room lighting and be sure to speak
up (don't forget to turn off your cell phones).
Family and friends can tell a story and get in
on the action too. The key is to relax and have
fun.
The Invitation
Last, but certainly
not least, the invitation. After the story we will
do a slow pan down the written wedding invitation
and then cut back to the spoken invitation.

special about the location, eg., at sunset,
overlooking the mountains, etc.)

the location eg., under the stars, at the
magnificent Hyatt ballroom, etc.), and you
can send your RSVP's through the mail or you
can email us.
